Europe’s largest party area

22 clubs, pubs, after-hours snack bars and several concert stages, all in one spot – every night the Kultfabrik lures party animals from Munich and from far beyond the city gates to the former Pfanni factory located next to the Ostbahnhof train station. Stealthily, quietly and surreptitiously the location has developed into the place for the best in cultural events of dance. Even during the day there is a colorful mix when craftsmen, sports facilities and a child care center do their jobs and when serious flea-marketing happens on the weekend.

As the lights slowly dim in the evening, the main event starts at the Kultfabrik.

The musical range encompasses House/Electro, Latin, Black Music, party hits and pop music as well as Schweinerock. The selection of locations ranges from cozy pubs to an enormous disco. Although one night seems almost too short to explore all the clubs you’ll find here, this is exactly what happens several times a year when the Kultfabrik invites its guests with mottos such as men’s night out, traditional costume party or Halloween. During such events, free attractions like bungee jumping, bull riding, swingboat or a monster truck show are on offer in the outdoor area.

Whether it’s live concerts, cabaret, or multi-facetted events, the Kultfabrik offers a varied cultural program every day.

As a concert and event hall the TonHalle is one of Munich’s top addresses. For more than a decade stars of the international music business have passed the mike to each other, while the NachtKantine next door offers casual dance’n’dine accompanied by the sounds of Salsa or tango as well as a varied, free band program (if weather permits in the beer garden with open air stage). The most recent addition, the Technikum, has provided first insights into the musical future at Ostbahnhof. Its goal is to enrich the planned factory quarter by offering another venue for cabaret, music and culture.

Kids, art and junk: This is also Kultfabrik.

The Kultfabrik already successfully combines art exhibitions, artists’ ateliers, retro charm and antique objects at regular flea markets as well as several facilities for children, such as the ErlebnisKraftwerk Kulti-Kids, all under one roof. Sports and leisure activities are represented in Europe’s largest climbing hall “Heavens Gate” and in the Capoeira studio Dance’n’Fight. A colorful mix makes the location an attractive venue for start-up centers such as the werk1München, and points the way for the development of the city quarter “Werksviertel München” which is planned to be established here in the next few years.
